Dear Friends, It’s been a short winter for us here at Claire Murray. We’ve been very busy creating new designs and expanding the product line for the upcoming season: In addition to over 60 new rug designs, there are more quilts and shams, a colorful dinnerware collection from Portugal, and finished needlepoint pillows, to name but a few. After 25 years at the Water Street location, the Claire Murray store on Nantucket has a brand new home! Please visit us at 16 Federal St. We opened just in time for the Nantucket Daffodil Festival. There were celebrations all weekend at the store and many were on hand to preview new 2010 designs. Be sure to stop by and visit: Manager Gail Norton will be on hand with her enthusiastic staff from last season. The Licensed Boutique program, a “store within a store” concept to compliment my 15 Claire Murray ® stores, continues to expand both nationally and internationally. We now have a UK distributor, New England Living, and are pleased to say that the Claire Murray lifestyle brand is warmly received and growing fast on the “other side of the pond”. I have designed a special rug collection, “Chelsea Gardens” to celebrate this exciting new transatlantic connection. As some of you may know, Hospice is a cause very close to my heart, and who of us has not been touched, either directly or indirectly, by the increasingly widespread incidence of Alzheimer’s? This year I am launching a program featuring the new Forget-me-not hand hooked rug to benefit both Hospice & Palliative Care and the Alzheimer’s Association. I will be donating a percentage of the proceeds for the sale of this rug to these fine organizations. Together we can make a difference!
